The arches come in all shapes and sizes.

The same process responsible for all of the arches also creates lots of rock spires.

The Colorado River, looking towards where we camped.

Arches National Park is just across a valley from Canyonlands, but the scenery is quite different. It's full of stone arches as you might expect.

It's so busy this time of year that entry is by a time slot lottery the night before. Our campsite had zero signal so we had to take the alternative option which is to arrive before 7am. Having an RV does make this sort of thing much easier as once we were in we could make coffee and breakfast just like normal.

The number of arches in the park is a bit overwhelming. There are more than 2000 which represents the largest concentration on earth.
